History of the Property
The original fifty-acre farm property was known as Cherrydale Farm. It was bought in 1921 by Beatrice and Cecil Watson and was farmed by the Watson family until Cameron Watson’s death in 2004. Originally there were seven or eight acres of orchards that eventually increased to thirty-five acres over the years. As a successful orchardist, Cameron grew many varieties of apples and pears, as well as rhubarb and various berries. Over the years some of the farm property was developed and now the final 1.63 hectares will also be sold.
