The Watson Estate is in the middle of an area of low density single family homes. Centennial Park is located to the north-east of the property and there are to two elementary schools; one directly to the south and the other to the north east of the property. It is located in the historical Highland Creek/Centennial Community area of Scarborough.

There is Highway 401 access off Port Union road, which is less than 2 kilometres northeast of the property. There is T.T.C. bus service along Centennial Road, Lawson Road and Lawrence Avenue East. GO Train service is also located less than 2 kilometres southeast of the property (Rouge Hill station), providing easy access to Union Station in Downtown Toronto and to Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa in the east.
